View of Ardnavaha House and apartments |
In clear view within the valley are the remains of Monteen Castle built by the McCarthys in 1346. Adjacent to Ardnavaha House, previously Kilmaloda Rectory, and built in 1830, are twelve well furnished apartments on three floors.
Ardnavaha has joined a select group of gardens, the West Cork Garden Trail, who have been approved to be open to the public. To compliment this honour, the new Coffee Shop will be open to the public from 10.00am (9.00am for residents) to 4.00pm serving coffee, tea, biscuits, pastries and light lunches.
