Located in the sunflower-clad hills of northwest corner of Umbria, just 30 km north of Perugia, the region's capital, (between Umbertide and Lago Trasimeno), Il Convento Mincione is a 12th century structure that the current owners have thoughtfully and sympathetically converted into seven totally unique self catering apartments. Stately Holiday Homes is pleased to be able to offer you a choice of five of these properties, details of which can be accessed below. Each apartment features a very well-equipped kitchenette, antique terracotta floors, oak beamed ceilings, marble tiled bathrooms, functioning fireplaces and rustic furnishings in the Umbrian style.

Two units have private terraces with their own small 'Hibachi' barbeques, and two other units have a semi-private garden with their own small 'Hibachi' barbeques just a few steps down through the 13th Century arch. The site benefits from a large swimming pool (open in High Season only, between 9th May - 26th September) with stunning views of the rolling hills, as well as an outdoor hot-tub and communal barbeque.

Direct air access with Ryanair is via Perugia Airport (30 minutes drive), via Forli (2 hours drive) or Rome (200 km/2½ hours drive). Alternatively, scheduled flights from the UK to Perugia via Milan or to Rome

First floor: Stairs lead to a small double bedroom on an open plan loft-landing with beam ceiling, overlooking living area.

Steps from courtyard to first floor: Arched double door entrance to very spacious living/dining room with well-equipped kitchenette. Fridge/freezer, combination microwave/ convection oven/grill, electric hob. Out to large private terrace with garden furniture and barbeque. Half of living area can be curtained off by heavy curtains, behind which a large sofa converts to two single beds (with quality orthopaedic mattresses) with an en suite full shower room: shower, WC, WB and bidet.

Second floor: very large double bedroom, with sofa and fireplace. En suite full bathroom: bath/shower, WC, twin WBs and bidet.
