"A surprise for my 30th birthday that I will remember always. Such a beautiful place to stay, we could not have felt more relaxed and comfortable. All in all it was a fab weekend - thanks all for making us feel so welcome and helping our break to be something we will not forget."
Ms S
"What a wonderful weekend! One we will never forget. The Temple Gardens at the Castle are beautiful; the starlings flying at dusk were spectacular. And the Cholmondeley Arms served us great food in a charming atmosphere. The riding club provided a spectacle to watch!."
J & N, USA
"The local area is superb but North Wales is not too far away - Bodnant Gardens, Betts Y Coed, Snowdon and Llandudno are worth a visit."
Mr E
"Nice meals at Grosvenor Arms in Alford and the Cholmondeley Arms - both child friendly."
Mr G
"The farm shop should definitely be used – excellent produce and comprehensive range and friendly, helpful staff. The Anderton Boatlift is fascinating and totally amazing. Erddig is probably the best stately home for children. The grounds of Cholmondeley are well worth exploring – including the children’s playground... And yes, we will certainly be booking SHH properties again and again!"
