Guest Comments for Stone Lodge, Combermere Abbey

"The Victorian Mill at Styal is well worth a visit!"

Dr W

"No need to travel far-a-field. The local tours and villages are a delight and beautifully maintained. Parish Churches like small Cathedrals, a bit of old England we thought was long gone."

Mr H

"There is an excellent village shop and bakery at Wrenbury and we had an excellent meal at an old pub overlooking the canal also in Wrenbury (name forgotten!) The frozen meals at Combermere were varied and most enjoyable."

Mr & Mrs L

"Combermere Arms, very good and close by for meals. Chester was an interesting place to visit. Hawkstone Park – a very interesting walk and Beeston Castle was also an interesting visit. Dagfields – crafts and antiques."

Dr W R M

"We went for walks on the property, visited Ironbridge - needs a day, Nantwich and Whitchurch are interesting. Stapley Water gardens are good on a cool day. The Dusty Miller at Wisenbury and Shroppie Fly at Auldern are also good. Walks along the canals are excellent as well."

Mrs H

"We think that Combermere Abbey is exceptionally well-placed for a holiday location, with easy access to Ironbridge, several National Trust properties, the Shropshire Union Canal and many delightful market towns."
