Guest Comments for Crosswood Park

"The Falcon Inn is 5 minutes drive and is good for basic food. Abereiron is well worth a visit. A bit of a drive but a must for garden lovers - The Botanic Gardens of Wales - aprox 60 miles - the Glass House is amazing. For Hill walkers - a trip up Plyulymon is a good day out."

"Recommend visits to Devil's Bridge and nearby nature reserve where red kites are fed at 3pm daily. Also Ynys-Hir RSPB reserve and the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth."

"On a rainy day go to the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth. Have your photograph taken for free and then get a visitors reader's ticket. You can then study your family history (covers England as well). The ticket is valid for 5 years."

"For good walks, beautiful scenery and red kites, go to the Bwlch Nant yr Arian visitor centre near Ponterwyd, 10 miles east of Aberystwth on the A44. Take a picnic!! The Mynach Falls walk at Devil's Bridge - not for the faint hearted!!"

Mr & Mrs S

"The National Library of Wales is worth a visit and there are lovely local scenic walks. You can watch the kite feeding at Cwm Nant Yr Eiran. Bird watching is recommended, especially on the Dovey Estuary Reserves."

"Good idea for walks from Aberystwyth Tourist Office. The on-site museum is also good."

"Harry's Restaurant in Aberystwyth town centre does excellent food at reasonable prices. See the Red Kites being fed (3pm each day) at the Visitor Centre about 7 miles from Aberystwyth on the A44."

"It's the most wonderful place, the gardens are magnificent. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It is so peaceful and relaxing there, The Elan Valley and with the cardigan Bay Coastline just a few miles away."

Ms T

"Wonderful opportunities to see the Red Kites. The Costal towns towards New Quay were interesting."

Mr & Mrs JR

"We found the place excellent, peaceful and relaxing. The history is interesting and whatever way you turn on reaching the main road, the countryside is outstanding. There are plenty of places to visit, and Hafod, not too far away, is magical. We love the place and it has a fascinating history."

"Aberaron – beautiful. Excellent Fish & Chip restaurant. Train to Devils Bridge - well worth the money – and walk to the falls (very steep) but worth the effort."

Mrs F J

"In Aberystwyth the railway up Constitution Hill is a must and includes entry to the Camera Obscura at the top. Devils Bridge - a walk to the botttom and then up beside the waterfall is awesome. The centre for Alternative Technology is for anyone interested in renewable energy and the climate chaos."

Mrs P J

"If you really want peace and tranquility then this is the property for you. From the lounge as you look over the stunning view, no buildings or lights in sight - you could so easily be in the Victorian era. This is an ideal venue if like us you are researching the Welsh side of a family tree...with the National library of Wales in Aberystwyth."
