The Lowther Estate covers some 70,000 acres of wild and rugged Cumbrian scenery. Whale Farm Cottage, at the edge of Lowther Park, is situated in the beautiful, tranquil hamlet of Whale, eight miles south of Penrith and 25 miles from the Cathedral City of Carlisle.

Ground floor: entrance hall lined with old prints; flagstone cloakroom and boot/bicycle/coat store leading to conservatory and stylish, well equipped kitchen with an oak floor, hand painted cupboards and black granite work surfaces; French doors lead out onto a flagstone terrace. Light and airy open-plan drawing room/dining room with open fire. There is a large shower room.

First floor: one double bedroom with bamboo four-poster and fantastic views south towards Haweswater. One twin bedroom and bathroom.

Outside: there is a large walled garden with mature herbaceous borders and an outdoor BBQ and garden furniture.

Guests are provided on arrival with a complimentary welcome pack and a full basket of logs.
